It’s Time to Renew Your CPXP Certification!
We’re so proud of the incredible commitment you’ve made to patient experience excellence as a Certified Patient Experience Professional (CPXP). As a reminder, CPXP certification is valid for three years from the date of passing your exam or your most recent renewal.
For those who certified in October, your renewal deadline is October 30, three years from your original certification window.
(Example: If you earned your certification in October 2022, your renewal is due by October 30, 2025.)
How to Renew
To maintain your CPXP designation, you must complete 30 PXE (Patient Experience Education) credits during your three-year certification period. These may include:
- Up to 10 hours of relevant CE (e.g., CNE or CME-approved courses)
- Any combination of PXE-qualifying learning activities
- All 30 credits may be PXEs — non-PXE credits are not required
PXEs must be earned within your renewal window (e.g., November 1, 2022 – October 30, 2025). There is no annual credit minimum — you may pace your learning as fits your professional goals.
If You Don’t Meet the PXE Requirement
If you are unable to complete the required 30 PXEs within your renewal window, re-examination is required to maintain your certification. This means retaking and passing the CPXP exam to retain your designation.

If you're ready to submit your renewal application for the October 2025 window, simply click the “Register” button below and follow the prompts.
- Renewal Fee: $275
- If your organization is covering the fee, select “Bill me” to generate a PDF invoice for submission.
- Please note: Renewals will not be processed until payment is received.
