CAVS Exam Application - July 2026

CAVS Exam Registration

The Certified Administrator of Volunteer Services (CAVS) credential is designed for professionals engaged in healthcare volunteer services leadership. The CAVS designation is earned by successfully completing and passing the online CAVS examination.

July 2026 CAVS Exam Timeline

• Application deadline: May 21
• Exam scheduling: Meazure Learning will email approved candidates in June with scheduling instructions.
• Testing window: July 1–31

You must complete the following steps before submitting your CAVS exam registration:

1. Review the CAVS Handbook

Download and review the CAVS Handbook in full. Acknowledgment of the Handbook is required as part of the CAVS certification application process.

2. Verify Your Information and Upload Your Resume/CV

Log in to your Beryl Institute profile and confirm the following:

• Your first and last name exactly match your legal ID
• Your mailing address is complete and current
•  Your resume/CV has been uploaded and clearly demonstrates two years of paid professional experience in healthcare volunteer services management.

Applications submitted with incomplete information will delay approval for exam scheduling.

How to update your profile:

1. Click the person icon in the top-right corner of the screen.
2. Select Access Your Account.
3. Click Edit My Profile on the left-hand menu.
4. Review and update your name and billing address.
5. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click Upload Files to upload your resume/CV.
6. Click Save.

3. Submit payment for the exam

• The $325 exam fee includes a $100 non-refundable application fee
• Select “Bill Me” at checkout to download/print your invoice (invoices are not emailed or mailed). The “Bill Me” option is available until 30 days prior to the application deadline.
• Payment must be received by May 21. Standard invoice terms do not extend the registration deadline
• Candidates will not be approved for exam scheduling until payment is received

Application Review

All applications are reviewed for eligibility. Approval decisions are typically made within 30 days of submission. Submission of an application does not guarantee approval to sit for the examination. Approval notifications will be sent to the email address associated with your Institute profile.
